Guinan believes in Cobblers bosses

Manager Ian Sampson and assistant Malcolm Crosby have turned the club around since their appointment and Guinan believes they are a good combination. "Malcolm's a bit more jovial and a bit more of the joker whereas Sammo is the serious one," he told the Northampton Chronicle & Echo. "It can work a bit good cop, bad cop, but it's a combination that is proving very effective for us at the moment." He added: "When it was being debated about whether [Malcolm] would come in or not some of the lads were concerned that it would be quite a big loss to the club. "I don't know what happened behind the scenes but thankfully he's come in and he brings the kind of influence, along with Ian Sampson, that we're going to need to be successful."
