Gray worried by defensive frailties

Gray heads into the season opener against Macclesfield at Sixfields buoyed by the chances his side created against League One opposition, but concerned with Town's defensive frailties. "I was disappointed with the manner of the goals we conceded," he told the club's official website. "We invited them to shoot and that was wrong. "I hoped we would have learned that lesson from the Sheffield Wednesday game, if not, we certainly have now. "I thought we created some half-decent chances and scored a good goal through Billy McKay. "We have some things to work on defensively but we are getting bogged down with one or two injuries at the moment."
