But Gray was far from happy with the way they performed in their 2-1 win against the already-relegated Bulls, saying: "Any 11 players I put out on Tuesday will turn in a better performance than we did here. Sometimes it is not a bad thing to play badly and win.
"The supporters got behind the side but it was obviously a nervous occasion and you can't do much for the players once they cross the white line.
"I imagine that John Trewick will be disappointed that Hereford have not shown that level of performance over 40-odd games this season.
"We will go for the win on Tuesday. If we can get a goal and take the pressure off the back four it will help but we won't be going gung-ho. I'm a great believer in getting after teams and not sitting back."
