Northampton Town manager Stuart Gray praised his team's battling qualities following Tuesday's 3-3 draw at home to Scunthorpe United. The result lifted the Cobblers out of the League One relegation zone on goal difference with three matches left. [LNB]"I thought the approach was fantastic," Gray told BBC Radio Northampton. [LNB]"But we keep shooting ourselves in the foot by gifting teams goals - and you can't do that against a side like Scunthorpe United." [LNB]He added: "They have an abundance of ability up front. [LNB]"That said, we showed plenty of character and were rewarded by getting something out of the game." [LNB]Northampton are now level on points with the two sides immediately below them - Carlisle and Crewe - and have a game in hand. [LNB]They entertain Hereford and MK Dons at Sixfields before finishing their season at Leeds United a week on Saturday.
