Gray expects business to be slow

The Cobblers boss expects more players than ever to be available on free transfers this year as budgets are cut around the country and thinks a lot of signings could be left until August. He said: "Up and down the country clubs are cutting budgets, whether they have gone up, gone down or stayed in the same league. "Because of that clubs will operate with smaller squads and there will be fewer contracts to go round. "That means this summer may be a little different to other years and I expect a lot of deals to be done later this year. "We are hopeful of having some news on the contract offers we have made next week but it's often a case of these things taking as long as they take."
