Gilligan doubt for Saints clash

The midfielder picked up a knock to his knee during the 0-0 draw with Macclesfield on Saturday but Gray is hopeful that he will be fit to face the Saints. However, the Cobblers failed to fill the seven-man bench at the weekend and are still struggling for numbers. Danny Jackman - who had a transfer request rejected last week - failed a fitness test on his knee injury on Friday and will miss out while John Curtis (thigh) was also a late withdrawal for the Macclesfield game. Striker Gary Mulligan is out with an ankle problem while midfielders Luke Guttridge (knee) and Liam Davis (foot) remain sidelined. Gray played for and managed the Saints earlier in his career and will hope for a win to match last season's upset at Bolton.
