Foxes keeper enjoying Northampton loan life

Chris Weale is happy to take the bumps and bruises of League Two as long it means first-team football

The on-loan Leicester City goalkeeper made his Town debut in the weekend defeat by Barnet and despite being on the losing side was positive about his afternoon.

"Playing in league two is a lot different to playing in the championship, I realised that again very quickly on Saturday," he told the Chronicle & Echo.

"The physical element and the directness of the football meant you have to play very differently but it was very enjoyable."

Former Yeovil man Weale is confident that his new side have enough about them to stay in the Football League and will look to play his part, starting at Torquay this Saturday.
