Former Cobblers man looks forward to striker battle
Chris McCready will line up against his old club on Saturday The 29-year-old spent the first part of the 2009/10 season with Northampton before moves to Tranmere on loan and then Morecambe where he currently plays and who have enjoyed a good start to the current campaign. This weekend's game will see him lock horns with Cobblers' strikers Adebayo Akinfenwa and Bas Savage. “Bayo and me became close friends at Northampton as we were both put up in a hotel together and I was with Bas at Tranmere," McCready told The Visitor. “They are both great lads and good players who use their height and strength well and make things difficult for defenders. “But we have looked pretty solid so far this season and will be ready for the challenge."
