Defensive boost for Cobblers

Northampton boss Gary Johnson could have defenders Dean Beckwith and Liam Davis back for the trip to Bradford. Centre-half Beckwith missed the 1-0 defeat to Macclesfield last week with a groin injury but is back in training and should start at Valley Parade. Left-back Davis - who can also be used on the wing - has not played for a month with an ankle injury but featured for the reserves in midweek and is in contention. Billy McKay is out for around six weeks after dislocating his elbow and fellow striker Leon McKenzie is absent with his knee problem but could return against Torquay next Friday. Defender Craig Hinton has left the club to take up the role of assistant manager at Bristol Rovers but midfielder Ryan Gilligan is available after a loan spell at Torquay. Forward Guillem Bauza could come into the starting XI after signing a short-term deal while defender Byron Webster is set for a debut after signing on loan from Doncaster.
