Darlo trip now crucial for Cobblers

Sampson saw his men chalk up their third successive home draw after failing to capitalise against 10-man Vale.[LNB]Marc Richards gave the visitors the interval advantage from the penalty spot, shortly after Adebayo Akinfenwa had missed one for Northampton. But Akinfenwa equalised from a second spot-kick after the break when John McCombe was dismissed but Town failed to find the winner.[LNB]"Everybody will expect us to go to Darlington and get three points because they're the bottom club and that's no different to how we will look at the game. We will be going there to win it," said Sampson.[LNB]"We worked hard to try and win the game but didn't get the breaks in front of goal. We didn't take our chances but the positive thing is that it's two games unbeaten for us but we need that win.[LNB]"Adebayo has got a good record from the penalty spot and I knew he would back himself to score from the second one because he's a goal scorer. But Chris Dunn could have been sent off for their penalty and that was a let off for us because their defender was dismissed."[LNB][LNB]
