Akinfenwa saw his first attempt from 12 yards brilliantly saved by Port Vale's Chris Martin after Tommy Fraser had been penalised for a foul on Paul Rodgers.[LNB]But, after Marc Richards had given Vale the lead with a penalty of his own, Akinfenwa stepped up to secure a point for Northampton with his second penalty attempt, having been hacked down in the area by John McCombe.[LNB]"There was no doubt he'd take [the second one]," Curtis told BBC Radio Northampton. "He's got a lot of courage. It's just disappointing we couldn't score the first one. We keep giving people 1-0 head starts."[LNB]Curtis is currently playing in midfield for the Cobblers, having appeared as a full-back earlier in the season.[LNB]"The manager likes me in there, and if I can do a job there, I'm happy to do that," he added. "It's important that all the senior guys help out when Courtney Herbert, Joe Benjamin, Alex Dyer and Paul Rodgers are all new to league football."[LNB][LNB]
