As with many of the big names in the game, the Cobblers only league fixtures against the London giants came in their sole top-flight season of 1965/66 when Spurs were held at White Hart Lane after earlier winning at the County Ground.
An FA Cup meeting in 1925 went the way of Tottenham as did 1998's League Cup tie at Sixfields.
Future Cobblers boss Colin Calderwood was part of a visiting side that also contained Sol Campbell, Darren Anderton and David Ginola.
