Aidy Boothroyd ran the rule over the 24-year-old defender during a closed-doors friendly against Stoke City in midweek and believes the former Barnsley man will add to his play-off chasing squad.
“If you’re going to be successful and get out of the division at the right end then you’ve got to get players in who are better than the level you are at.," said the manager, quoted in the Chronicle & Echo.
“Lee certainly is that and we’ll be looking at doing something with him in the next couple of days.”
