Cobblers To Face Competition From Sky Blues?

One of the stranger football stories has been making the headlines on Tuesday

Currently involved in a rent dispute with the owners of their Ricoh Arena stadium, Coventry City FC's board have investigated the possibility of their very own move to Northamptonshire.

The ground in question is Nene Park, the currently-vacant former home of Rushden & Diamonds.

Although the general view seems to be that this a kite being flown by the Sky Blues, a rash of stories about struggling clubs at the moment shows how well the Cobblers are run.

That stability that has allowed NTFC, despite some disappointing seasons on the pitch, to continue investing in facilities, to appoint an ambitious manager and allow him plenty of freedom in the transfer market and to make attending matches an affordable expense.
