Cobblers tell Jackman to stay put

Cobblers chairman David Cardoza revealed Jackman asked to leave the club in writing on Tuesday, but the defender has been told he is going nowhere. "Danny has asked to leave in writing but we have said no." said Cardoza. "He is contracted to us until the end of the season and I have repeatedly turned down a number of offers for Danny. "Danny is a true professional and while we understand his wish to play at a higher level, we hope he can begin to achieve that aim by helping us to promotion this season. "He is a first-class player with a first-class attitude and I hope that on Saturday the Cobblers supporters show just how pleased we are to have him at the club, and give him a great reception against Macclesfield."
