Cobblers land Vernon in loan deal
The forward has scored four times for Colchester this season - including a goal in Colchester's 2-1 win over the Cobblers in January.[LNB]The Cobblers allowed Leon Constantine to move to Cheltenham on Friday and Vernon will take his place in the squad for Saturday's clash with Stockport.[LNB]Manager Stuart Gray said: "Scott is a striker with a decent goalscoring record. He is a hardworking striker and the sort of player who can come in and make an impact.[LNB]"He has been playing regularly at this level this season and he has a fair amount of experience despite only being 25 so hopefully he will hit the ground running for us.[LNB]"He has a first class attitude and I know he will come here determined to do well for us."[LNB][LNB]
