Cobblers: Jackman going nowhere

Jackman had a transfer request rejected on Tuesday and has been the subject of a number of bids over the summer. But Cardoza said: "Danny isn't going anywhere. I can't see any reason why he won't be playing for us against Macclesfield on Saturday. "In a way it's got nothing to do with this football club because from my conversations with Danny, he is happy with me, he's happy with Stuart Gray, and he's happy with how things are here. "It's not about money, I just think he wants to play at as high a level as possible. League One is a very strong league this year and I can understand why he wants to play against teams like Southampton and Charlton. "But he's our player, he's under contract here for another year and we want to keep our best players. If it was a much bigger club coming in for Danny I think it would be different for him, but we really don't want to sell him to anyone."
