Cobblers face tough game in hand

Northampton travel to Crawley on Tuesday night

A win for Aidy Boothroyd's side will mathematically secure their League Two status but they face a tought task against a home side who know that victory for them puts them back in the automatic promotion places.

More importantly, Boothroyd will be looking for a reaction to Saturday's defeat at home to Bradford City, after which he accused his players of being too relaxed going into the game.

Crawley overcame the early red card received by Hope Akpan to earn a home draw against AFC Wimbledon at the weekend, stretching their unbeaten run to 11 games.
