Cobblers extend Thornton's stay
The Irishman, 23, signed a monthly contract in January after a successful trial spell but has shown enough in three substitute appearances to persuade manager Ian Sampson to tie him down.[LNB]Sampson said: "Kevin has done well and has impressed us. He has earned his longer contract.[LNB]"He knows he has plenty of hard work ahead of him, but I think he is making good progress and we are delighted he will be staying with us."[LNB][LNB]
