Cobblers crush Bantams

Second-half goals from Billy McKay and Ben Tozer earned Northampton their second successive home win as they comfortably beat lowly Bradford 2-0. The Cobblers created most of the chances in the first half, influential Kevin Thornton twice going close with free-kicks, before McKay missed a good chance. Bradford offered little in the opening period and their best chance fell to Louis Moult who saw his snap-shot saved by Chris Dunn, while Steve Williams also went close when he headed wide from a free-kick. McKay finally broke the deadlock in the 61st minute, though, as Tozer's free-kick was headed down by Michael Jacobs and McKay pounced to grab his fourth goal of the campaign. Tozer capped a solid performance when he ventured forward to double Northampton's lead in the 82nd minute, McKay heading the ball back for the on-loan Newcastle defender to hook into the roof of the net.
