Midfielder Emyr Huws has made a loan move to Northampton Town

The 19-year-old, described by Aidy Boothroyd as 'someone who will make a big difference' to the Cobblers squad, joins until January and is set to make an immediate debut against Exeter City this weekend.

"We would like to say thank you to Manchester City," added the Sixfields boss.

"We appreciate the fact they are willing to trust us to help develop one of their young players and we will do just that in the period Emyr spends at Sixfields."

Earlier this week Huws captained Manchester City's Under-21 side in their game against Wolves, a team which contained one of the English champions' big summer signings, winger Scott Sinclair.
