Cobblers closing in on striker
The Cobblers currently have just Adebayo Akinfenwa and Steve Guinan in their squad but Gray is confident of adding a third forward by the end of the week.
He said: "There will hopefully be some news on Friday about a striker, we are very close to finalising the signing.
"Negotiations have been going on for a while and we are almost there and fingers crossed he will be with us for the game on Saturday.
"He's a young player but one who has played a lot of games."
