Cobblers can climb back - Gray

02 May 2009 19:53
Goals from Jermaine Beckford, Luciano Becchio and Robert Snodgrass coupled with wins for Carlisle and Brighton led to the Cobblers slipping into the bottom four. Gray said: "When we played MK Dons in midweek we had the opportunity to take a point but we put pressure on ourselves by not doing that and we've paid the price. "We are not carrying the biggest of squads, we've been hit by injuries and we can't bring in players of the calibre that Leeds and other clubs at the top end of the division have been able to do. "The league table doesn't lie. We are relegated not because of the game here but the 45 games that have gone before. "I am under contract for the next 12 months. Although take responsibility for our results not being good enough I have players good enough to get us back into this division."
