The 18-year-old scored one and made one against Bournemouth on Saturday and Gray believes the progress made by Sheffield United defender Kyle Walker last season stands the club in good stead. Walker made his league debut at Sixfields last November and after a sparkling spell of form moved to Tottenham this summer. Gray said: "Ben has got the habit of letting people think he's lost the ball but he always seems to still have it. "He's got plenty of skill; on Saturday he made one and scored one, and picked out plenty of good passes. The most important thing is we're creating chances. We've got him for three months and hopefully Stoke City will allow us to keep him beyond that. "We've had a few boys here who have gone on to better things at their clubs, like Kyle Walker, and we like to think we can give them a good grounding here."
