Both sides finished with ten men after the second half dismissals of Peter Gilbert and Rob Atkinson, both for professional fouls, but Sampson remained upbeat despite only picking up a point against struggling Grimsby.[LNB]"It was always going to be a hard-fought game in difficult conditions but if we'd taken our first half chances it could have been a different match," said Sampson.[LNB]"We were the most dominant of the two teams and we had three clear-cut chances in the first half but didn't take any of them. Once we went down to ten men I had to take a striker off but I wanted a clean sheet before the game, I've got that, but I also wanted a win.[LNB]"It's a slow process and I'm trying to bring new players in. But I don't want to bring in too many loan players so it will mean having to wait until January."[LNB][LNB][LNB]
