Cobblers boss: Its all down to us
The Cobblers had no game this weekend and saw results go their way as none of the four teams above them recorded a win.
But Gray said: "Of course we kept an eye on the scores, but the destiny of our season is in our own hands.
"It's not about what other teams do, if we win our games we are safe no matter what.
"The two games in hand we have over some teams are a plus in our favour as is our goal difference and the fact we now have a run of four home games out of five coming up.
"By the time we get to Bristol Rovers on Friday it will have been a long 10 days for us and we want to get back in action and get out of the bottom four as soon as we can."
