Boss: Cobblers must bounce back

13 February 2010 13:42
Cobblers midfielder Kevin Thornton saw red after 11 minutes for a poor challenge on Andy Sandell before two Marvin Morgan goals and a Kirk Hudson strike ended Town's 11-match unbeaten run.[LNB]"There's no reason why we can't go another 11 games unbeaten but that was our third game in six days and it was difficult with 10 men against 11," said Sampson.[LNB]"I'd like to see the sending off again as I'm not 100% certain it was a red card. But it was a double kick in the teeth for us as we didn't defend the free-kick.[LNB]"We re-grouped and all credit to the players. We kept trying to play the right way. But the second goal killed us off and now we have to start all over again at Crewe next week."[LNB][LNB]
