Boothroyd satisfied as Cobblers take five

Northampton have five points from their three games to date and take a break from League Two action this week

Thursday night sees the Cobblers take on Wolves in the League Cup after their 3-3 draw with Southend rounded off a busy first week of league action.

“We’ve got to make sure we make every day a good defending day when we play and if we do that then we’ll win more games than we lose," boss Boothroyd told the Chronicle & Echo.

“The pleasing factor is we’ve played three of the top teams in the division and I guess I would have taken that before the start of the season."
