Boden poised for Cobblers debut
Boden arrived at Sixfields on Thursday on a month-long deal from Sheffield Wednesday and may feature as Gray is short of midfielders.
Ryan Gilligan has missed training after picking up several knocks in last weekend's 2-0 win over Bournemouth and is hoping to be fit but John Curtis is definitely out. Curtis lasted less than 20 minutes of that win before going off with a calf strain so Alex Dyer will start in the middle.
Abdul Osman (thigh) and Luke Guttridge (knee) are still sidelined while Danny Jackman finalised his move to Gillingham on Tuesday to leave Gray short of numbers.
Forward Gary Mulligan may be in the squad for the first time this season after returning to training following an ankle problem while Adebayo Akinfenwa should be fit despite going off against Bournemouth with a shin injury.
American forward Seb Harris could be in the squad for the first time after receiving international clearance but Liam Davis is still missing with a foot injury.
