Gary Johnson is being linked with the manager's job at Bristol Rovers.

Associated for so long with rivals Bristol City, Johnson is in the frame to replace Paul Buckle, sacked on Tuesday after just seven months in charge.

"You don't rule anything out," Johnson told BBC Points West. "I class myself as a West Country person and this is where I enjoyed all my football. Of course I'm interested in everything that comes up.

"I want to get back into management. I can't stand sitting at home and watching Loose Women, it's driving me up the wall.

"It's going to be a decent job for somebody. It's a big club with a great fanbase and lots of potential. They've got to find someone who can turn it round quickly and get Rovers back up that table."
