The Magpies face a winding up order from HM Revenue and Customs on Wednesday After a soap opera of a season at Meadow Lane, the club's new owners are facing up to debts of around £6m and concede that a 10-point penalty may be in the offing. Chief executive Jim Rodwell told BBC Radio Nottingham on Saturday: "I would say [administration] at the moment is probably 50/50. "A decision will clearly have to be made at the beginning of next week with the winding-up petition on Wednesday." Notts currently lie 7th in League Two but have plenty of games in hand on the teams above them due to their FA Cup exploits.
