Akinfenwa open to Swans return

The 27-year-old made made 75 appearances for the Swans in a two-year spell between 2005 and 2007, scoring the winning goal in the Johnstone's Paint Final win over Carlisle in 2006 in the process. He then moved to Northampton after a brief stint with Millwall but has now been linked with a move back to south Wales as Paulo Sousa looks to ease his striker crisis. Although Akinfenwa will continue to give his all for the Cobblers, he accepts he could follow Danny Jackman out of the door before the transfer window closes next Tuesday. "Players come and go," he said. "Danny Jackman has been one of our best players over the last few years so losing him can only make us a weaker side. "But if a good club comes in for you then sometimes it is time to move on and we wish Danny all the best for the future. You never know what can happen before the transfer deadline but when I play for Northampton I try and give my all."
