Akinfenwa earns Sampson praise
The Cobblers looked out of the match after a woeful first-half performance, but Akinfenwa scored two superb goals in the second-half to rescue a point.[LNB]The Sixfields chief also backed the 27-year-old to score 20-goals a season, if he is able repeat the performance on a regular basis.[LNB]"Our first-half performance was the worst since I took over and I told the players at half-time that we needed a spark, and it came from Adebayo (Akinfenwa)," said Sampson.[LNB]"If he's on his game Adebayo is a handful for anyone and he should be looking for 20 goals this season.[LNB]"They got through us too easily in the first half and I told the players at half-time they needed to give something back to the fans in the second half. They gave me the right response and we could have won it in the end but so could Crewe."[LNB][LNB]
