A recurring theme from Cobblers' opponents

Chesterfield are preparing to face an aerial assault at Sixfields on Saturday

Prior to Northampton's last home outing, against AFC Wimbledon, the focus of comments from the opposition was how they had been working hard to prepare for the 'direct' nature of the game they were expecting.

Now there are similar quotes from the caretaker management team at Chesterfield, Mark Crossley telling his club's official website: "They [Northampton] are quite direct and I'm sure Aidy Boothroyd wouldn't mind you saying that.

"They do play in certain areas of the pitch, there's no dount about that, but when they have the opportunity to put the ball in the box they do.

"If we can deal with the physical aspect of their game we feel that we can cause them a lot of problems on the break."

Is there a danger for teams facing the Cobblers that their players will be putting their focus too much on the aerial aspect of the opposition and getting caught out as Town have shown already this season that they have more than one way of playing.
