French outfit Nice have reached agreement with Ajax for the transfer of Argentine-Croatian striker Dario Cvitanich, Nice chairman Jean-Pierre Rivere said Wednesday.
No financial details were released but the French are believed to be set to pay a fee below one million euros for what is likely to be a three-year deal.
Cvitanich started out with Banfield in Argentina but former Ajax coach Marco Van Basten brought him to the Netherlands five seasons ago.
However, in recent months he has lost his place in the pecking order and been loaned out to Pachuca in Mexico and Boca Juniors in Argentina, neither of whom pursued an option to buy.
