Wolves are understood to be tracking Newcastle's Allan Saint-Maximin, as rumours over a potential summer exit for Adama Traore continue to swirl.
The 22-year-old has established himself as a fan favourite on Tyneside after joining from Nice for £16m last summer, thrilling the club's supporters with his blistering pace and willingness to run at players.
Wanderers have enjoyed another sensational season under Nuno Espirito Santo, combining Premier League duties with a fine Europa League run. Despite having a relatively small squad, Wolves have performed admirably, and are currently maintaining a place inside the top ten, as well as remaining in Europe.
Their success has come at a cost, though, with the impressive performances of Adama Traore garnering much attention. Manchester City, Barcelona and Real Madrid are all tracking the 24-year-old, with an improved end product adding to his already impressive running game.
A fee of around £70m could be enough to convince Wolves that selling is their best option, and that would be more than sufficient to cover the cost of buying Saint-Maximin from Newcastle.
The Magpies are unlikely to be interested in selling the Frenchman, though, evidenced by his impressive Premier League dribbling statistics. In 16 appearances, Saint-Maximin has averaged 4.4 dribbles per game, and is fourth in the league for the amount of successful dribbles completed - 71 overall.
Traore, meanwhile, averages 5.4 dribbles per game, and leads the Premier League for successful dribbles completed at 136 - albeit in nine more appearances than Saint Maximin.
But there's enough in those numbers to suggest that Saint-Maximin has promise, and his pace on the counter-attack could suit Nuno's style nicely. Newcastle will be desperate to convince him that his future lies at St James' Park, and at this stage, there's nothing to suggest that he'd be keen to leave so soon into a long-term deal.
