Being weak-willed, I’m not giving up alcohol for ever, but I’ve decided not to drink for the rest of December so I can enjoy the festive season more. My next drink will be in 2024 – a glass of champagne after the bells, so Slàinte mhath in advance!Dr Harpreet S KohliGlasgow• Wendy Bradley (Letters, 4 December) suggests making copies of the Parthenon marbles to display in UK cities and schools. Manchester already has a copy in the Manchester Art Gallery, given by King George IV in 1824.
