Ryan Reynolds, the Wrexham owner, said that not even he could write the script of his side's dramatic 3-2 win over their National League title rivals Notts County. Going into the game, both sides were locked on 100 points in English football's fifth tier with only one team guaranteed automatic promotion to the English Football League. The visitors took the lead through John Bostock, but Wrexham edged ahead in the five-goal thriller in the 78th minute. County had a chance to level the game in stoppage time, but Ben Foster, the 40-year-old former Manchester United goalkeeper who came out of retirement two weeks ago, saved Cedwyn Scott's penalty. The result leaves Wrexham three points clear. Reynolds, co-owner of the Welsh club along with Rob McElhenney, declared the game more dramatic than anything you'd see in a movie and joked he would put Foster on the injury list once he found him to celebrate.Ben Foster save takes Wrexham close to promotion with win over Notts County Continue reading......read full article
