Bayern Munich strengthened their position at the top of the Bundesliga table as Luca Toni scored twice in a 2-1 victory over Bayer Leverkusen.
Bayern are now seven points clear after second-placed Hamburg could only draw 1-1 at Wolfsburg in a match which saw four players sent off.
Hamburg took the lead after 14 minutes when Bastian Reinhardt headed in a corner but Danijel Ljuboja grabbed the equaliser for Wolfsburg early in the second period.
In the last ten minutes Wolfsburg's Alexander Madlung and Grafite were dismissed as were Hamburg's Vincent Kompany and Joris Mathijsen.
Last season's champions Stuttgart continued their recent improvement with a 4-1 win against Hansa Rostock, all the goals coming in the second half.
Rock-bottom Duisburg picked up a point from a 1-1 draw with mid-table Hannover while Nurnberg also remain in danger of the drop after settling for the same scoreline against Bochum.
The game between Borussia Dortmund and Karlsruhe also ended 1-1.
