As England prepare for their opening game of the World Cup Finals, against Tunisia on Monday ebening, coach Gareth Southgate is already preparing us for the possibility of bad news.

"When the draw was made, everyone had this perception that it was the easiest group," he told press on the eve of the nation's first game. "I would argue it is one of the most difficult with ourselves, Tunisia and, of course, Belgium, in terms of the Fifa world rankings."

Belgium are ranked third, behind Germ, any and Brazil, while England are 12th and Tunisia 21st. Panama are 55th.

When asked about Tunisia's threat, Southgate added: "They are a good team. They like to play. I like their coach's ideas. They're very organised. They like to play from the back. Their organisation against Spain was excellent and this is a big test for us."

So as Harry Kane and co. kick off on Monday evening, don't get your hopes up too high. Football may not be coming home just yet!
