Player Details
Richie Wellens is an all-action midfield player with Leicester City. A product of the Manchester United youth system, Richie left Old Trafford for Blackpool in search of first-team football. After five good seasons at Bloomfield Road he moved to Oldham and then Doncaster, making a big contribution to Rovers? promotion to the Championship. Richie joined Leicester in the summer of 2009 providing something extra in midfield with his excellent tackling and distribution. He remained one of the key players in the squad in 2010-11 when he was a near ever-present in the line-up and won the club?s Player of the Year award.
