Leon Johnson is a central defender who signed for Wycombe Wanderers in July 2007. Leon began his career as a trainee with Southend United, later spending five years with Gillingham before joining the Chairboys. He quickly established himself as first-choice centre back at Adams Park and was voted the fans? Player of the Season in 2007-08. He also played an important role in the club?s promotion from League Two the following season. Strong in the air and effective on the ground, Leon was hampered by injuries during the 2009-10 campaign but was a regular in the squad during the second half of 2010-11 as Wycombe once again gained promotion from League Two.
