Player Details

Grant McCann is a left-footed midfield player who signed for Peterborough United in the summer of 2010 after a spell with Scunthorpe United. A skilful playmaker with an excellent range of passing he is a specialist with set pieces. Appointed as captain for Posh, he began 2010-11 in fine form, netting with a free kick in the opening day win over Bristol Rovers. Grant was a key player for Posh during the season contributing some vital goals, and he found the net in each of the play-off semis as well as the final against Huddersfield Town. Grant began as a trainee with West Ham but it was only when he moved on to Cheltenham that his career really took off. He is a member of the Northern Ireland international squad, having made his debut against Malta in February 2001.
