Damien Duff is an experienced winger who signed for Fulham in August 2009, linking up again with Roy Hodgson, manager at his first club Blackburn Rovers. He is a left-footed player with plenty of skill on the ball, capable of dribbling down the flank and delivering teasing crosses into the danger zone. Damien has been a key figure for Fulham since his arrival at Craven Cottage and was a member of the team that lost out to Atletico Madrid in the Europa League final in May 2010. He was again a regular in 2010-11 but missed the closing weeks of the season due to an achilles injury that required corrective surgery. A former trainee at Blackburn, where he made over 100 Premier League appearances, he went on to win two League titles with Chelsea and also starred for Newcastle before his move to West London. Damien won his first cap for the Republic of Ireland against the Czech Republic in March 1998 and has now appeared more than 80 times for his country.
