Player Details

Chris Baird is a versatile player who has appeared in a variety of positions for Fulham since joining the club in the summer of 2007. Although his preferred position is in the centre of defence, he has often been used at full back or in a centre-midfield role during his time at Craven Cottage. Chris is strong in the tackle, effective in the air and reads the game well. He struggled to make an impact in his first two seasons with the Whites, but since then he has featured regularly. He was mostly used at full back in 2010-11, appearing on either flank and scored his first goals in four years against Stoke in December, including a rocket shot from all of 25 yards. Chris spent his formative years with Southampton where he gained an FA Cup runners-up medal in 2003 and went on to become the club?s Player of the Season for 2006-07 before his move to Fulham. He won his 50th cap for Northern Ireland against Serbia in March 2011.
