The Magpies have been beaten in each of their last four league games after drawing their campaign opener, with the latest defeat being Saturday’s 3-1 loss at Lincoln. A statement on the club’s website on Sunday morning said they had parted company with Nolan, who has been in charge since January 2017, with assistant manager Richard Thomas also leaving.
