Jurgen Klopp & Brendan Rodgers Named on November Shortlist for Premier League Manager of the Month

The Premier League have announced the four-man shortlist for November's Manager of the Month, with the division's top two sides Liverpool and Leicester seeing their bosses in the running.

Alongside Jurgen Klopp and Brendan Rodgers, Wolves' Nuno Espirito Santo has been listed with Sheffield United's Chris Wilder completing the list of candidates.

Sitting pretty atop the Premier League table, Liverpool went through November unscathed. Four wins from four saw seen them maintain their lead over second-placed Leicester by eight points, in a hugely satisfying month for the German tactician.

They required an injury-time Sadio Mane goal to secure all three points away at Aston Villa in their first fixture, which was followed by a potentially title-winning success over Manchester City at Anfield eight days later. In the ascendancy from thereon in, the Reds battled to an away win over Crystal Palace before rounding off the month with a home win over Brighton.

Rodgers' side are not giving up the chase, however, with a 100% winning run of their own. Leicester have looked revitalised under the Northern Irishman and were unforgiving as they saw off Palace before putting struggling Arsenal to the sword with another 2-0 win at the King Power Stadium.

Brendan Rodgers

That was followed by another shutout win against Brighton as they finished the month netting six goals, conceding none and accruing nine points from a possible nine.

Santo has overseen a superb month for his side as well, going unbeaten in their three top flight clashes. A commendable away draw at Arsenal was followed by a derby success over Aston Villa, while Wolves continued their fine run of form in all competitions by travelling to Bournemouth and heading back up north with all three points.

Almost undetected, Wilder has been steering his Blades side into newfound territory, as the Yorkshire outfit continue to defy the odds on their return to the division with some excellent displays.

Chris Wilder

They crushed Burnley at Bramall Lane with a 3-0 demolition before securing back-to-back draws against top four chasing outfits Tottenham and Manchester United, with a 1-1 away and 3-3 home result respectively.

Voting for the Premier League Manager of the Month can be done on their official website.
