José Mourinho Mocks Reporter Over Bruno Fernandes to Man Utd Saga

It's absolutely no secret that Bruno Fernandes' potential move to Manchester United has been the transfer saga of the window so far.

And on Wednesday, José Mourinho couldn't help but poke fun at the prolonged coverage.

The former United boss aimed a flippant question at Sky Sports reporter Gary Cotterill, who had previously travelled to Lisbon to report on the Fernandes to United deal, asking if the Sporting midfielder was "coming or no?".

Mourinho was back to his brilliant best both off the pitch, shortly after his Tottenham Hotspur side saw off Daniel Farke's Norwich City 2-1. Dele Alli and Son Heung-min got on the scoresheet.

During the post-match press conference, Mourinho was asked by Cotterill about Spurs' FA Cup fourth round tie against Southampton on Saturday. However, before the Sky Sports reporter could finish his question about the next game, Mourinho interjected.

He asked: "Is Bruno Fernandes coming to United or no?

"So you go to Lisbon for that and he's not coming?"

Cotterill, clearly caught off guard by the nature of the question, chuckled as he replied: "I know, as usual entirely correct and 100% accurate".

Seemingly dissatisfied with the answer, José continued to probe for an update on Fernandes' proposed move to United by asking: "But coming or no?"

To which the reporter timidly replied "Yeah".

Despite his keen interest in his former employers transfer business, Mourinho had led his new side to a much-needed Premier League victory over Norwich at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium while Manchester United succumbed to a 2-0 home defeat against Burnley on Wednesday evening.

Whilst it was another uninspiring performances from the Red Devils, Ole Gunnar Solskjær will be hoping to put an end to the ongoing speculation surrounding Bruno Fernandes.

Manchester United are in desperate need of reinforcements and with only eight days left of the January transfer window, Ed Woodward will have to act fast if he is to secure the services of the Sporting CP star.
