It went perfectly - Larsson

Thursday Sep 29 2005 23:04

Sweden striker Henrik Larsson has warned his team-mates not to get carried away after they began their Euro 2004 campaign with a 5-0 victory over Bulgaria.

The 32-year-old scored the second and third goals in the rout after being persuaded to come out of international retirement for the tournament.

"It went perfectly, I can't imagine a better way to make my comeback in a competitive match. The crosses for the two goals were fantastic," Larsson said afterwards.

"It was a virtually perfect performance in the second half and I can't remember a more enjoyable game I've played for Sweden."

He added: "It's a great result but it is only the first game and we must not get carried away.

"There's a long way to go and we will enjoy it tonight, but after tomorrow we focus on the next game."

Freddie Ljungberg, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Marcus Allback were also on the scoresheet for Sweden as they stole a march on their Group C rivals.
