Marco Silva believes Everton have “reacted strongly” to recent adversity, notably André Gomes’s horrific injury against Tottenham and the VAR debacle at Brighton, and three wins in their last five games in all competitions does suggest an upturn. They must exploit the lack of confidence in the league’s bottom club and give the manager’s claim greater substance.
